Jaimie James
2024 Laurels Award Winner
Words cannot express how grateful I am for the experience that I had in Germany, it is one of my most treasured memories. I hope to go back to Frankfurt, possibly even live there one day, and I’m so filled with joy that I was able to experience it. Without the help from the Laurels Award, I simply could not have afforded to do such a rich experience, and so I thank the school and implore students to apply for the award that changed my life because there simply is no way to know what you can do if you don’t try.
Lucy Coleman
Laurels Award Winner
Over the summer, I was fortunate to attend a two-week Fashion Course hosted by InvestIN Work Experience in Central London attended by pupils globally. It was generously part-funded by the Laurels Association after successfully completing their Sixth Form co-curricular experience application process. Their support played a significant role in allowing me to take part in this invaluable experience, which has helped me to both develop key creative skills and build a strong network within the fashion industry, crucial for my future university applications and aspirations to pursue a fashion degree.
Mollie Hewison
2024 Laurels Award Winner
Thanks to the Laurels Award, I’ve been able to take steps toward achieving my Level 2 Women’s Artistic Coaching Qualification. This qualification is a key step in my journey and progression to becoming a skilled gymnastics coach, and the support from the award has been key in making this possible.

Established over 25 years ago in loving memory of Pam Jelf, a much-admired EHS music teacher — this fund has been nurturing musical talent at EHS ever since.
